Mission
It is to undertake integrated development activities that would gradually alleviate the prevailing development constraints and eventually bring positive change in the socio-economic condition of the people.

The aim of KDA is to bring visible impact by working on areas not given priority by other development actors or sectors.
Since its establishment KDA has been involving in the implementation of development projects focusing on improving the social, economic and environmental situation of the community and the district. The major achievements were bulleted here below:

Food Security and household asset building
Availing fund for community projects developed through good community action plans and beneficiary selection (3 grinding mill projects, 140 oxen fattening projects, and a number of handcraft group projects); ·

Provision of school meals as child emergency programme where food shortage aggravates dropouts. Promotion of Women Literacy Programme opening education access for 600 women

Construction of 9 boreholes and more than 50 water points in more than 5 Kebeles
– Construction of roof water collection reservoir with generator in Konso High School. ·
– Supporting the Arfaide Pipeline extension through community micro projects. ·
